We are thrilled to report that American Renaissance is currently unable find a venue for their planned racial hatefest. If this is true, we may have seen the rout of American Renaissance without even a finger being lifted in opposition. Mayor Pro Tem and city councilman Patrick Cannon has flexed his political might and asked that hotels in the area provide no platform for this hate group to assemble upon. Thank you, Councilman Cannon! This has all the local hatemongers fuming, as you can see in the comments on the Observer article linked below. What could get those racists so hot and bothered about an elected black official trying to prevent a gathering of racist trash in his city? (Does the sarcasm drip off your screen too?)
Of course, the Observer gives the fascists enough media attention to whine about supposed violations of their 1st Amendment rights. What a joke! Thanks Observer, those racist scum are certainly worth being given equal time to spout off. Hate speech, used to denigrate people and inspire violence, should never be protected speech. We applaud Councilman Cannon’s actions, and hope we continue to see this sort of community first thinking coming out of a city council which recently slashed school and library funding, and is now considering even more budget cuts in the name of “austerity”.
Surprisingly, Taylor still thinks he’s welcome in Charlotte! He’ll be making an appearance at our local government center to speak to the media, Monday 31st, at 11:30am. We call for any who can to attend, and share their opinion of Mr.Taylor’s organization with him. I’m sure he’ll be willing to stick around and chat afterwords, considering how concerned he is for free speech and debate of controversial topics.

Nice work! I was there on Saturday morning, and there was not one nazi idiot present. It was a nice (cold) gathering. Thanks to all that spoke and organized!
